I provide superbills for out-of-network therapy

I provide monthly superbills for out-of-network therapy, enabling you to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider independently. Please call your insurance company to find out what percentage of the session cost they will reimburse you for service code 90837 (a 50-55 minute therapy hour) and for how many sessions. You can find the phone number to call on the back of your insurance card.

Investing in Therapy

In my practice, I prioritize your mental health journey above all else. While I understand the convenience of insurance coverage, I've made the intentional decision not to accept insurance for several reasons - most especially because I experienced not being paid for a year from one insurance and clawbacks from another.

Regarding your journey, not being tied to insurance allows us the freedom to tailor our therapeutic approach solely to your needs, without the constraints imposed by insurance companies. This means we can dedicate more time to understanding and addressing your unique concerns, fostering a deeper and more effective therapeutic relationship.

Moreover, investing in therapy is an investment in yourself. By choosing to pay out of pocket, you're making a commitment to your well-being that can lead to a greater sense of accountability and motivation to fully engage in the therapeutic process, resulting in more profound and lasting growth.

Finally, paying out of pocket also affords you greater privacy and confidentiality. Without involving insurance companies, your personal information remains strictly between you and your therapist, fostering a safe and trusting environment for exploration and healing.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day before your next psychotherapy appointment or other service.

I will deliver your Good Faith Estimate electronically using my Client Portal. You can also ask me, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
