01

The Process

Journey inward through gentle, guided meditative experiences to locate solace, peace, and ease. Be led into the heart cove/cave to visualize a safe space you can return to daily that will serve as a grounded, nourishing, revitalizing foundation for what is possible within our work together.

02

In your sanctuary, you may invite and nurture your connection to internal and external resources. You will also learn various tools for parasympathetic activation of the nervous system that can prepare you for the integration of deeper psychological work within The Cove.

03

Through a titrated process, you will learn to process and rewire difficult emotions, memories, and feeling states. In this phase, wounded 'parts' can have an opportunity to renegotiate their roles and return to developmentally appropriate roles. Optional, light sharing in the group facilitates connection, resonance, and coherence.

With more space in your body, mind, and spirit, your innate energy can flow more naturally. This can be in your way of moving through the world, in parenting, work, or creativity. Space for this integration and expression is offered in The Cove, through writing and sharing other creative waves with each other.

The Cove is for you if you're in recovery from...

  • Trauma/Complex Trauma

  • Childhood abuse/neglect

  • Narcissistic abuse

  • Spiritual abuse

  • Chronic illness

  • Major life changes

Note a: These are all challenges I currently struggle with or have struggled with in the past, and I feel both moved and qualified to create sanctuary for.

Note b: All enrollment requires a brief phone call to assess fit and appropriateness for
online group work.

Karen Prosen

I am a licensed therapist and artist with 13+ years of experience guiding people 1-1 and in groups. I am trained in somatics, parts work, hypnotherapy, IFS, mindfulness meditation, and more. I will draw upon these modalities to guide you through our time together in The Cove.

A note on inclusivity and entering a trauma-sensitive space

In order to create a safe space for women and gender non-conforming individuals in recovery who may have varying levels of accessibility needs, I ask that all participants adhere to guidelines of respect, empathy, and curiosity.

Understanding that many of us carry experiences of trauma, I will prioritize creating an atmosphere of compassion and patience. We will approach discussions with sensitivity, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. I encourage open communication about comfort levels, and we will have options for participation that respect individual boundaries.

Our group will also incorporate grounding, orienting and mindfulness techniques to help foster a sense of safety and presence. Together, we will cultivate a nurturing environment that allows healing and growth at your own pace.

As your facilitator, I am open to constructive feedback about safety, accessibility, language, and any needs that you may have.

"Karen, thank you for participating in this miracle of helping me return from hell. I know those horrible PTSD symptoms are not going to bother me again. I do not know how to express my gratitude."

Fling every fear into the Ocean of sweet peace

Let water wash your worry

There’s no part of you unwelcome home

And while this love would wait forever,

It would rather you hurry
